Two, tasty, amazing Cafe Rio pork burritos.
Tasty.  Oh - and of course the creamy dressing.

Turkey Turkey

Clearly, a Turkey Trot is the only way to start the Thanksgiving Festivities.  My kind, running cousin agreed to run yet another race with me.  I might have failed to mention to her that although this was only a 5K (we did a half-marathon last time), it was uphill the entire last half.  Whoopsie.  It was a lot of fun.

The youngest runner this year was 4, yes FOUR.  Peach Pit's in training for next year.

THIS guy bailed on the whole running idea.  Says he'll stick to swimming.

Now THIS turkey would make one awesome Thanksgiving feast!

She's currently thinking, "seriously Mom...another race?"

There was more food coming out...not much, but a little more.  We enjoyed our little feast, the feast for three.  We were grateful to have T with us, it is so nice for me to have family from my side out here.  Peach Pit was supposed to join us for dinner, but I guess the thought of turkey made her drowsy and she missed the entire meal.  Oh well, maybe next year!

13.1 Miles, Here We Go!

the best possible fans (it was raining, so Seth took Hazel to Barnes & Noble and read her stories while I ran)

I was finally able to run the Baltimore Half Marathon. I fully intended to last year, but being 5 months pregnant and in a state of constant nausea I passed. I had no expectations going into this run, Seth leaves for work long before the sun even considers waking up, so I don't have the luxury of running by myself. That means that those long runs I look forward to were typically cut short by poopy diapers, cranky baby or me just being tired of running with the stroller.
The race was a lot of fun, everyone kept telling me about the awful hills (it's pretty much all uphill from miles 3-9), but they weren't that bad! I ran with my cousin, T, (I convinced her a month ago that this would be a lot of fun). We stayed together through the entire race, and I was sooo glad to have her as a race-running-buddy! I felt pretty good through it and was surprised by my time. I was expecting a PW (personal worst) of at least 2:30 or slower, and was pleased with my 2:21 PW.
The last stretch of the race is through Camden Yards and Seth passed Peach Pit to me the last 50 yards or so, so she could finish with me (the officials informed me that was NOT cool...oopsie). I can't wait to run it again next year and see if I improve!T and me before the race, look at all that energyand we're off like a herd of turtles...(this is still before the race, we did actually run!)we rock, we just don't have quite as much energy as we did before the race!
ps- seeing as I'm the tallest girl in my family, you can see we did not get the tall-genes on dad's side

Baltimore 10 Miler

I knew the Baltimore 10 Miler would take place the day after I got back from Girls Camp. Before camp that didn't seem like a big deal. Well, that was clearly before I spent the week living off sugar and granola, staying up all night, catching a nasty cold which resulted in dripping snot profusely and sleeping in the woods. I had to wake up at 4:45 am to get to Baltimore on time. Ugh!

Turn the music off at the bottom and hit play!

The race, surprisingly, went really well. Somewhere around the 9 mile marker we were informed that the course was actually 10.2 miles. Gee, thanks. Apparently if it had only been 10 miles we would have finished going up hill, so they threw in .2 extra so we could finish after the hill. Again, gee thanks! Seth caught me a little before the finish, then ran ahead to get my picture as I finished, unfortunately I passed him as he ran towards the finish. Ha, amateur! I was extra happy with my time and appreciated the sweet fleece I got! I am pretty excited for the Baltimore Half Marathon in October. Sweet!

SLC Half-Marathon...Accomplished.

Rock on SisterPants! 13.1 miles had nothing on us! I think we all had the goal in mind to beat our times from last year, and YES we DID! Last year I ran it in a little over 2:15, this time I snuck in just under 2:15. It was awesome running with the Sistahs, I was pretty worried that going from sea level to 4500 feet would pretty much kill me over. Luckily, Kel and Karen gave me some awesome encouragement (basically told me to suck it up) and we finished strong!
Seth is always my number one fan, since he couldn't come out to support me, he was nice enough to send his mom! (She was actually in SLC visiting her sister). They popped up several times along the course with a great sign and a lot of cheering. Thanks!
Can't wait for next year!
Karen has some pretty sweet pictures on her blog (Lonsdale fam)

Thanks Mom H & Aunt Sondra for all of the cheering, it was GREAT to see you along the course. That was officially my first "Race Sign" thanks!!
