Splish Splash

We love our pool, the time has come for Peach Pit to dive in!I'm all swimsuited-up, let's go!
Uh, this water is a little chilly!
Bubbles!
Look at me! Yes, I look concerned, but I'm really having a blast!
I'm a swimming superstar, just like my dad!

I wanted to stay longer, but those black clouds looked scary, and there was no messing around when the thunder started rolling. I need to let Mom and Dad know I prefer going to the pool when it's HOT and SUNNY!

Sunrise What??

Even though I couldn't be at camp all week, I knew I wanted to go up for the testimony meeting Friday. I told Leslie I'd go up with her, and that's when she told me what time it started. 5:30 AM! Peach Pit and I rolled ourselves out of bed at 3:30 to get there on time. It was so worth it, they held it in a beautiful, outdoor amphitheater and obviously the time was set for a sunrise. It was a great end to a fantastic week at camp. I'm very glad we went up. Not to mention we got some tasty breakfast afterward!
Testimony meeting = thumbs up!
Ugh, what time??
Just a few of the fabulous girls we work with (and a nephew, and a Peach Pit).
Hazel loved, loved, loved all the attention she got from the girls (yes, she is definitely still in her pjs).

Burn, Baby Burn

See smoke in backyard.See firetrucks show up.
See firemen work.
See burnt field.
See exhausted girls from watching all the excitement.

(We're super grateful that today was really humid and that we finally got rain last night, otherwise this could have been a verrry bad day).

Hup, 2, 3, 4...Keep It Up...

Girls Camp has come again. Due to the Hazel-factor, I didn't think I should go up the whole week, but we snuck up for the hike. I am so lucky to work with amazing girls. I love hanging out with them, (even if I have to remind them how cool I am.)
We're just going to hitch a ride up the river. My view of Peach Pit.
We, the leaders, are working on growing our young women program, we've started recruiting at a young age.
Hazel invited Anna for a spin.Anna is either...1- showing her friendship by holding Hazel's hand, or 2- attempting to pry Hazel's fingers off Anna's jittery pal.

Hazel Highlights - Month 4

  • Not to brag, or anything, but I think I get cuter with age!
  • I keep hearing everyone say I stick my tongue out a lot. Like all the time.
  • Dad lets me takes baths in the tub...but Mom said I had to take a bath in the kitchen sink at Grandmas! I'm not so sure about the metal tub.
  • I love to see the temple, especially the new ones!
  • I snort.
  • I laugh. I laugh really hard.
  • I don't know why it was such a big deal for Mom and Dad to fly with me, it was a lot of fun, and the better I was the more the people smiled at me. I like smiles.
  • Dude, Mom...thanks for taking me to the YW activities with you, but geeesh they are exhausting!
  • I learned new ways to ride in the swing at Grandma's.
  • Utah has parades and fireworks and dentists.
  • Mom said it was really important to be nice to dad on "Dad's Day"...aren't I nice everyday?
  • I have feet! They are awesome!
  • I have really cool cousins.
  • I'm doing really well at sleeping at least 8 hours a night, Mom said that's what I need for my beauty rest. (Like I need that!)
  • Suck my thumb? No, I prefer my fist.
  • I went hiking, Mom was really excited for me to see my first waterfall. Doesn't she know that I see one every night, it comes out of that silver thing in the bathtub.
  • I had my first sleepover, pretty awesome that I got to stay at Grandma and Grandpa G's! They are a little crazy.
  • I really like to roll all over the place. Mom said I wasn't an ambi-turner, is that because I only roll from my right side? Who needs to turn left?
  • No, really...tongue out, all of the time.
  • This whole tummy-time thing isn't so bad.
  • I can also roll my stomach. It does the "wave".
  • Mom and Dad were bored the other night, they went through an entire bag of cherries tying the stems in knots. It took Dad a realllly long time to figure it out. Mom said she'd teach me how next summer, why does she think I'm always sticking my tongue out! I want to do that cool trick too!
  • Dad's a good sport about changing my diaper, but he always seems worried about me oozing out the sides.
  • I won't let go! I love this playmat!

Day Ten

Fly Away
The trip was awesome, but it was time to get back. Hazel and I were really missing our Seth. I was so worried about flying back with Hazel by myself. She was so great on the way to Utah, that I was positive she'd make up for it on the way home (awesome attitude, right?). I was praying that the flights wouldn't be full. We had a layover in Denver, and that flight was packed. I think there were people just standing in the aisles...either way Hazel did awesome.

We landed in Denver and I was greeted by one of my best friends, Ashley and her man, Jarad. It was awesome seeing them.
(Thanks for the b-day gift, book is finished and yahtzee is getting some serious use!)
Can you tell how excited Hazel was for the flight?Yes, she stayed in that position through dinner, security and boarding. She was OUT.

After a quick bite to eat it was time to get on board for the long flight to Baltimore. This flight was totally full, too. Lame. There were so many babies on board, it was crazy. I was proud that mine didn't make a peep the entire flight. She was PERFECT! Our only hiccup was when we got off the plane there was no Bob! What about Bob?? Yes, Bob is that important to us. Although we were one of the first off the plane we had to wait at the gate while Bob was located and everyone filed passed us, Hazel was complimented many times on how well she was on the plane (thank goodness!). Thankfully one of the flight guys found Bob, apparently he thought he could hitch a ride to the Caribbean. We were reunited and off to find Dad.

I have to say, there is nothing better than having Seth pick you up at the airport. (I highly recommend it). Hazel and I were booking it through the airport, excited to see Seth. We get to baggage claim and start scanning the crowd for him, that's when we both see a freakishly, good-looking guy heading our way. Peach Pit starts smiling and flirting with him. I tell her not to flirt with strangers. He's cleaned up, carrying roses and smiling at us. Who could this be...I look closer and holy smokes, I know him! He belongs to us! I think Seth's glad to have his girls back, we're glad to be back.

Day Six - Day Nine

One word would pretty much sum up the rest of my trip.
Sisters
Thankfully they humored me and Karen let me follow her around all day and Kellie stayed up late with us each night. What were we doing? Nothing, really. Just being sisters.
Aunt Karen and Aunt Kellie were awesome at entertaining Peach Pit, in return I did their hair.
(I failed to take "after" pictures, actually I sort of failed to take any pictures the last week, I was too busy just hanging out!...whoops)

The cousins were really big fans of "Baby Hazel". Mason and Madison did a great job of keeping an eye on her.
We asked Mason to watch Hazel and make sure she didn't roll off the couch. He was making sure there was no chance she'd roll off while he was in charge!I think Mason will make an excellent big cousin, I'm sure he's this nice to his little sister :)
Even with Seth in Maryland, Peach Pit still can't escape the camera, we have photographers everywhere (can't wait to see those pics).

I also managed to catch up with several friends for lunch and such (thanks!), visited my old salon and I made time for a root canal, which took away the horrible throbbing pain I was feeling and replaced it with a punched-in-the-face feeling. :)

The fam even celebrated my birthday! We went to Joe Veras in Provo, my parents have been going there for thirty years, you could say they are regulars. Mmmm, chicken taquitos. I like the butterfly balloon. I'm old. We always have a way of being totally dorky in front of a camera. The trip was totally awesome, a GIANT thanks to my parents for letting us crash at their house, eat all their food and drive their cars. THANK YOU!!!
See you in November!
