After a little encouragement (ahem- sever peer pressure mixed with guilt trip) Melanie agreed to do the Homecoming 5k with me. The race was a lot of fun, I haven't done a 5k in a long time, and forgot how nice it is to be done after 3 miles, as opposed to 10 or 13! I didn't break any records (shocking, I know) but I was pleased with my time, and could have won a bronze medal in my division if I'd been a minute faster, stupid 4th place! Not to worry, I was not THAT fast, I just happened to be in a relatively small division (yes, there were MORE than 4 runners!!)
